Aka knew he wanted to get engaged on Kauai, but as his trip to Hanalei was drawing near, he'd realized that the first company he'd contacted to create his ring wasn't going to be able to do it for him time. On a whim, he contacted Kauai Custom Jewelry on a Friday, specifically wanting an elongated 3 carat cushion cut diamond set in a simple yellow gold solitaire band. We put the pieces together, over a holiday weekend, and he was able to propose Tuesday evening in Hanalei with a photographer at sunset. His engagement had been saved! We even hand delivered this to him up at the Hanalei Bay Resort where he was staying.
