Meet Robbie & Caitlin
Caitlin grew up on the North Shore of Kauai and Robbie grew up in Massachusetts. When Caitlin went off to college in Washington to study nursing, she met Robbie who was also away at Bible college. They met at a Bible study, kept in touch, got married and moved to Kauai where they live on the south shore with their two beautiful kids. Caitlin's ring was the first engagement ring that Robbie ever designed.
Robbie comes from a family of jewelers and he grew up in his mom's fine jewelry store on the east cost. His mom is a master jeweler, his sister is a professional bench jeweler, and his brother is a professional engraver - so he's seen everything in this industry. Before starting KCJ, Robbie started a software and marketing company just for jewleers which he still runs today. Robbie's clients own some of the best fine jewelery stores all over North America.
Because of his experience in the industry, Robbie became a well sought after consultant in the industry and currently helps hundreds of other jewelers around the country build and grow their businesses - from small mom & pops to large multi site luxury jewelry houses. He'd been working one on one with jewelers for years, showing them how to run successful top 1% jewelry businesses, so he decided to start his own for the people of Kauai.
When he arrived on Kauai, Robbie noticed that while Kauai is the most beautiful place on Earth, hardly anyone is helping people make gorgeous one of a kind engagement rings, and there was no true custom jewelry specialist on Kauai.
For such a gorgeous place, filled with people from such deep cultural backgrounds and so much beauty around, it seemed natural to help people on Kauai discover what truly custom jewelry means to celebrate life's most precious moments. And because of his connections to the industry, the level of quality he is able to give to his clients is far-and-away the highest quality available in the in Hawaii - as he has a reputation to uphold in the industry worldwide.

Kauai Custom Jewelry operates 100% by appointment only, through virtual video appointments and one-on-one coffee appointments. We've been told it's the most pleasant non-salesy experience people have ever had buying jewelry. We do this for fun.
